Ysabel Molina was born in Venezuela but works and lives is Spain since a decade ago. Her journey into the art world began by studying ceramic sculpture and goldsmithing. After working for several years as a jewellery designer, exploring the properties of metal and sculpture, she moved to Europe and studied applied arts with a sculpture emphasis. She has also participated in several non formal studies with artists in different mediums and techniques combining different plastic languages. She has also participated in some formal workshops of poetry and fiction writing that has gave her a new vision of art and has become a living way to build new layers of expression.
Her work is an integration of materials and mediums to create a biofeedback between hints of ancient and contemporary art, abstraction and figuration, weaving a thread to connect new concepts. ___
"I intervene, compose and decompose using fragmentation as a way to find unity and embellishment as a ritual of beauty. Fragility is a human condition that becomes evocative through a poetic language expressed in three-dimensional shapes, using materials that become symbols and elements of adoration. My work is my art experience, my interaction with nature and ordinary life to build a bridge to express a new dimension of the self.
"Art is a Symbiosis: I take, I give, it is a mutual feedback, art is the medium of my emotions. The world outside is a rich source; our inner world is a fabric of expressions that transforms those ideas and put them again into the world into new mysterious concepts".
